Mission Statement
The Church on the Way is a Christ-centered ministry designed to evangelize the lost, equip and empower the people of God, and provide holistic ministry to our community as well as the world.
As Christ loves ALL PEOPLE, our purpose is to reach out in love to everyone, affecting the Southern Dallas communities with a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural ministry.
As Christ ministers to the TOTAL PERSON, we strive to become an oasis of hope, with concrete answers to spiritual, emotional and physical needs.
As Christ is EXCELLENT IN ALL HIS WAYS, we commit ourselves to the "spirit of excellence," seeking the highest, the finest, and the best God has for us, serving Him and one another in this spirit.
Our foundation is the Word of God; and we believe it in its entirety. We believe we can do what it says we can do – be who it says we can be – and have what it says we can have. (Matthew 28:18-20; 25:34-50; Galatians 3:26-29; Philippians 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:12)
Purpose
The Church On The Way exist for the purpose of bringing the unchurched to Jesus that they may obtain membership in His family (Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16), develop them to Christ-like maturity (I Timothy 5:20; II Timothy 4:2; Titus 2:15), and arm them for ministry in the church and the world in order to exalt God’s name (I John 1:3-7). We seek to teach the Word of God and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit, shaping and equipping our church family so that believers will be nourished and empowered to fulfill their God-ordained, created purpose and ministry. We seek to prepare people who care for one another, and will sensitively reach out to our City and our World that all may be saved and walk in a living faith in Christ as Savior and Lord.
