Ministry Vision
- To win the City of Wilmer for Christ (Pray for Godly, progressive leadership for the city)
- That God’s house would be filled, (believing God for unsaved and undiscipled families) praying that God will send laborers to and for the ongoing work here at “The Way”
- To focus on our evangelistic efforts – family members/co-workers/friends/neighbors – and relentlessly carry the gospel into the streets of Wilmer
- That God will supply spiritually committed men who can impact change in their home and this community – seventy (70) men who would build into the lives of other men, and into the lives of our children
- To passionately and compassionately live within the perspective of a “Christian world view” and support other ministries near and abroad: offering support for Christian schools and colleges; offering support for the salvation of Israel/Jews; offering spiritual and tangible support for African missions
- To think beyond the here and now and see beyond these walls: seek to purchase additional land for the future growth of this ministry; seek to build a gymnasium for church and community use
Prayer for the Pastor
- That God’s vision for the church will be followed without wavering
- That the Pastor will fervently walk in accordance with God’s will
- That the voice of the Holy Spirit will be discerned with unmistakable clarity
Prayer for the Pastor’s Family
- That the Pastor’s family will continually walk together in unity
- That they will never become overwhelmed by the ministry
Prayer for the Pulpit Ministry and Bible Teachers
- That there will be a heartfelt commitment to be students of the Word of God
- That God will cleanse, fill, and use all ministers and teachers of “The Way”
- That each minister’s preaching and each teacher’s teaching will be anointed by the Holy Spirit so that a genuine move of God will take place
- That the voice of each minister and teacher remains strong and clear
- That every minister and teacher at “The Way” will give no less than their best when communicating God’s truth
Prayer for Every Soul of “The Way”
- That we all speak the same thing (Genesis 11:6)
- That every soul will possess an unquenchable thirst for the knowledge of God’s word
- That every soul of The Church On The Way will be totally dedicated to the cooperate worship and praise of our Heavenly Father
- That as the Word of God is preached, the intellect, emotions, and will of every listener, will be touched by the Spirit of God drawing him/her closer to Himself
- That God will remove all spiritual blindness among our church family
- That people are not merely converts, but true disciples
- That every soul within our congregation will remain financially faithful in giving back to God what is rightfully God’s
Prayer of Evangelism
- That God would touch the city of Wilmer and turn the heart of the people back to Him
- That unsaved sinners in this city and surrounding areas would believe on Christ as Savior
- That people will hear and believe the scripture with absolute assurance
- That God will remove all spiritual blindness within this community
Prayer of Revival
- For churches everywhere to be agents for change
- For the filling of the Spirit for every believer
- For the Holy Spirit to move every believer to a consistent, honest, and faithful lifestyle
- For every believer to have an insatiable thirst for God’s Word
- For Christians to be consumed with a desire to worship God and a desire for people to be saved
Ministries
New Member / Visitors Ministry
New Members / Visitor Ministry is responsible for providing information to our members concerning their profiles, classes and any other pertinent membership information. Our New Members / Visitor Ministry is responsible for maintaining an accurate database that provides tracking and follow-up of new members and visitors. In this ministry, we are able to provide Pastor Smith with key information that pertains to the overall membership. However, it is a great concern to Pastor Smith that our membership grows spiritually as well as numerically. As we continue to provide vital, concise and accurate information into the hands of our congregation, we will be able to move to higher and higher dimensions locally, regionally and globally.
